The first part of the shoe in contact with the arch of the foot is made of a 2.5 mm thick vegetable collar. This vegetable tanning technique preserves the natural texture of the leather and provides a better quality of leather for increased durability. It also ensures great comfort for the most sensitive feet.

As leather is a living material, it does not receive pigmentation in the same way, which can explain the variations in colour seen in finished products. This adds a touch of authenticity and uniqueness to each of our pairs of Camargue sandals.
